DECEMBER 26: “LOVE IN THE FLESH: REPAIRS”

DECEMBER 26, 2024

Topic: “LOVE IN THE FLESH: REPAIRS

Text: : ISAIAH 43:2-4

Memory Verse: : Isaiah 43:2 “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness, he will bring forth justice”.

Broken things are usually discarded and considered no longer useful. Human beings are quick to throw away broken vessels, but one of the amazing things about God’s love is its ability to repair broken things. God repairs broken dreams, broken hearts, broken relationships, broken families, broken marriages, broken people. God specializes in taking broken things and making something beautiful out of them.

It reminds me of Jeremiah 18:3-4, which says “So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so, the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.”

The Bible is full of many people whose lives were broken beyond human repair but in the hands of God the creator, they were repaired and something beautiful was made out each of those lives. That is why Acts 5:16 says “After this, I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up.”

He turned Moses, a murderer, into a great leader. He turned a prostitute, Rahab, into a forerunner in the genealogy of Christ. She was David’s great, great, grandmother. He turned Saul from the great enemy of the church to their greatest champion. Most importantly, he has taken your life and mine as broken as they were and repaired them and made them into wonderful lives. This is all God’s love in action. As you go out today, remember that the Lord has the power to repair lives, tell as many as you can today, about the Love that repairs.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we bring our broken lives to you today, with your healing hands, we pray that you will fix us again and put us back into vessels that will showcase your glory in Jesus’ name, Amen.
