Topic: “LOVE STEP DOWN, SO YOU CAN STEP UP

John 6:51 “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”
Paul in Philippians 2:8-12 gave a detailed profile of how Jesus humbled Himself by coming down when he said “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross.” Jesus came down in human form to enable Him to fulfil His mandate of saving mankind from the power of sin and death.
Humanity has been under the power and control of sin and satan, because of the sin of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Man lost his place with God and in God. Jesus Christ became one of us to lift us back to our rightful place with God. Jesus stepped down, and humbled Himself, which gave us the privilege to step into our place in the presence of God.
As we step out today, remember that Jesus stepped down so that we can get all that we do not even deserve. The only way to receive all that God has planned for us is to humbly bow before Him, admit our sins, and say yes to His incredible offer.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank you for stepping down, so we can take our place in God. Help us to be humble and to yield to God in Jesus’ name, Amen.
