Topic: AND THE LORD SAW…
Text: Gen. 1:1-31
Memory Verse: Heb. 4:13 – “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
All creations are bare before him.
Gen 1:31 says “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning — the sixth day. “NIV
From the very first thing that God created to the last, He observed with keen interest and close attention. His observation and evaluation informed his verdict on each of the created works.
At some point, “they were very good,”Gen.1:28 yet at another point, when God reviewed what He had made…He said, “it is not good…”Gen 2:18.
God is the creative Evaluator of His own work. His creative power informs the variety of wonders of creation which came from His reviews.
His motive was to perfect all things that He created so that they can achieve His very purpose for which they were made. For example, when God made man (Adam), He knew that for Adam to fulfil the purpose of creation, Adam needed a companion like himself. This informed the reason of a search for a suitable companion for Adam in Gen 2:19-20.
According to Genesis 2:20,” But for Adam no suitable helper was found”. This led to the creation of Eve. (woman). The creation of a woman was to complete and complement the man God has made in order to achieve the multiplication and procreation of humans as one of His purposes.
We cannot leave ourselves without evaluation in the light of the Creator’s perspective. He has an expectation from us as His creation. We owe our existence to Him. We must live in the light of His purpose by yielding ourselves daily to the control of His Spirit in us in order to fulfil it.
He observes all creations, and He is aware of all their activities. Nothing happens without His knowledge. Heb 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
Therefore, we must live accountable daily before our Creator, as we strive to fulfil His purpose on earth.
PRAYER: Father, please help me to be accountable daily in all my affairs before you as I strive to fulfil your purpose in Jesus mighty name.
