Topic: TRANSLATED ENOCH

Text: GENESIS 5:21-24

Memory Verse: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him”. Genesis 5:24

We are told that Enoch walked with God. It is difficult to understand why the omnipotent God would want to associate with sinners like us, but the fact remains that He does. He said to Israel of old, “I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be my people.” (Leviticus 26:12). Like all God’s offers and promises, it was not made to Israel alone. It was and is open to all who love Him. Anyone who loves God enough and wants to walk with Him, He will not turn back.

Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, after he begat Methuselah. Something about the birth of his son caused a change in his life. He gave his life to God as he had never done before. He decided to try to please God in every thought, word and deed. (Hebrews 11:5) As a result, Enoch became intimate with God and eventually “God took him” by translation; so that he did not experience physical death; because he walked into heaven along with Jesus.

Is someone willing to walk with Jesus? Are you ready to pay the price? Will you make His purpose yours? Will you surrender your will to Him? If so, Jesus will open up before you, possibilities of spiritual growth of which you have never dreamt. Your future will begin to glow with the light of heaven, into which it will ultimately blend. Close beside you all the way will be Jesus, who loves you dearly. He will be your guide, companion, deliverer and friend through all the days of your life.

PRAYER: My Father and friend, it is the desire of every child of yours to find the grace to walk with you. Anyone that walks with you, will never walk in darkness. Your presence will beam light onto his path. May this be my experience in Jesus’ name, Amen.
