Topic: “THE POWER OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION – 4”
Text: Philippians 3:10
Memory Verse: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death” Phil 3:10 (NKJV).
It is evident from Scriptures that the whole essence of Christ’s resurrection was to restore man supernaturally from his fallen state into the very image of God. In 1Cor 15:20-22, the Bible says:
“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”
Paul, having experienced a supernatural transformation of his life after encountering Jesus, considered all the gains he previously had, and discovered that they amounted to nothing in comparison with his knowing Christ and the power of His resurrection. He was so passionate about knowing Christ intently, and the power of His resurrection, that he would not permit anything whatsoever to stand on his way. Such a desire could only have come from a life that was intimately woven with God through a consistent and intentional walk with Him.
Speaking to the brethren in Ephesus, Paul prayed for them to have deep insight into their calling and standing in Christ; and underscored the magnificence of the resurrection power that has set Christ far above every power, principality, might, dominion or name whatsoever, both in this age and in the age to come. Ephesians 1:15-21.
Friend, do you remember where you were before God picked you up? How much of Him have you so far known, and how much more are you desirous of knowing? Today, God is still asking that you draw near to him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). There are great and mighty things yet to be revealed, if only you will diligently seek Him (Jeremiah 33:3).
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I have come again into your presence to know you more, and to experience your life transforming power in a fresh dimension, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
