Topic: “THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HIS RESURRECTION POWER – ACCESS TO THE THRONE ROOM”
Text: Hebrews 4:14-16
Memory Verse: “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”. Heb 4:16 (NKJV).
Jesus paid the ultimate price for sin when he offered His life as an eternal sacrifice on the cross of calvary, willing to die a criminal’s death, even though he was righteous (2 Cor 5:21)
Being in very nature God, Jesus knew that without the shedding of blood, there would be no remission of sin. His sacrifice brought to an end, the needless sacrifices of animals in the old order, which were incompetent to pay the appropriate penalty for sin. It was through His own blood that He entered into the Holy of Holies, once and for all, thereby obtaining eternal redemption for us (Heb 9:12;22).
By the resurrection power, Jesus was raised from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He is sitting at the right side of God, interceding for the Saints (Rom 8:34). He is our Advocate (1John 2:1-2). What a wonderful privilege!
His resurrection brought about a new lease of life to mankind by granting man unfettered access to His Throne of grace. Jesus opened the floodgates of heaven to all believers to access God freely.
Beloved, it therefore means that the extent of your knowledge and intimate walk with God rests squarely on your shoulders. God has already made all provisions that pattern to life and godliness for your maximum benefit (2 Pet 1:3)
As you intentionally cultivate a desire to walk intimately with Him, and be obedient to His word, grace and mercy will also be amply supplied for every need.
PRAYER: Thank you, Father, for the privilege of accessing your Throne Room of grace and mercy. Help me to make the most of this opportunity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
