MARCH 15: GLORY IN ALIGNMENT

DATE: Sunday, 15 March 2026
TOPIC: “GLORY IN ALIGNMENT”
TEXT: Luke 9:28-36
MEMORY VERSE:  “And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him” – Luke 9:35 (ESV).

Our Lord and perfect example in all ramifications was exalted and glorified by God the Father. Before He went to the cross, He took His Disciples to the mountain to pray and while He was praying, His appearance was altered and He was transfigured into another man. His Disciples had never seen Him in this form before. Words failed them to express or explain what they saw. They could not even utter a word because the glory was beyond human comprehension or explanation.

God did not stop at the change of His appearance alone, He made an open confirmation and affirmation of Jesus’ calling and ministry on earth. God was establishing a fact that Jesus cannot be compared with other prophets who had gone ahead of Christ most especially, Moses and prophet Elijah. He did not call any of them His son and He did not mention their names or command that they should listen to them.

The other reason He did this was to make them understand that there is glory in walking in alignment with Him. God loves to show off His children who are walking in line with His will. That is, those who are completely sold out to Him, those who have pledged their allegiance to Him and are ready to carry their cross daily and follow Him any time, any day, through thick and thin, no matter what it will cost them. Jesus left all, His throne, His glory and all that He is and identified with man by aligning with God’s will for His life. He did all that is written in the book concerning Him, therefore, God exalted Him and gave Him a name that is above every name according to Philippians 2:9-11.

If you will not faint, if you will endure to the end, if you will continue to walk in alignment with God in total surrender to His will, you shall be exalted, glorified in this world and in the world to come. Do not give up, keep holding on, He that shall come will come and He will not come empty-handed, He will come with His reward. Are you tired of walking with the Lord; are you tired of holding unto His word? Are you about to throw in the towel? Do not do that because Jesus did not and He was honoured and glorified for it.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give me the grace to endure to the end so that I can see you in glory in Jesus’ name, Amen.
