MARCH 29: LIVING IN THE POWER OF GOD’S GRACE

DATE: Sunday, 29 March 2026
TOPIC: “LIVING IN THE POWER OF GOD’S GRACE”
TEXT: 1 Timothy 1:12-17
MEMORY VERSE: “And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant toward me together with faith and love which are in Christ” – I Tim. 1:14.

In today’s passage, Paul shares the testimony of how he encountered Jesus Christ and the transformative power of God’s grace. Grace has been defined in various ways, one of which is the unmerited favour of God. However, God’s grace is not just a doctrine, or a mere concept, but a living breathing reality that transforms lives. Paul’s gratitude for God’s grace is a powerful reminder that our abilities and accomplishments are not what makes us worthy, but rather, the grace of God’s empowering presence in our lives.

Paul’s encounter with Jesus Christ is a demonstration of the fact that God’s grace which is a product of God’s mercy and love can transform even the most hardened persons on earth. When experienced, the grace of God overflows into our lives, bringing transformation, faith, love, and purpose. As we walk in alignment with God, His grace empowers us to live out our faith and service.

Testifying of God’s grace, apostle Paul says, “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost” (1 Timothy 1:15). Jesus Christ is the grace of God personified, the living breathing reality that transforms the most unworthy persons into the greatest saints on earth. When we live in the power of God’s grace, we are empowered to share in the same Divine nature of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for your grace that brought me this far, and I ask for the empowerment of your grace in Jesus’ name, Amen.
