MARCH 30: LIVING A LIFE OF SACRIFICIAL SERVICE

DATE: Monday, 30 March 2026
TOPIC: “LIVING A LIFE OF SACRIFICIAL SERVICE
TEXT: 2 Corinthians 4:7-12
MEMORY VERSE: “For we who live are always being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also might be revealed in our body” – 2 Cor. 4:11.

Today’s devotional is a reminder that as believers and followers of Christ, we are called to live a life of sacrificial service, just as Paul did. This passage reminds us that our lives are not our own, we have been entrusted with the treasure of God’s love and redemption. The “jars of clay” in verse 7 represents our fragile human body, but the treasure within us is the surpassing power of God.

As we walk in alignment with God, we can expect to face challenges and hardships. Apostle Paul’s life was marked by afflictions, persecutions, and sufferings, yet he remained steadfast in his devotion to Jesus Christ. Why? Because he knew that his life was not about him, but about manifesting the life of Jesus Christ to others.

Living a life of sacrificial service requires surrendering our desires, interests, and comforts for the sake of the gospel. Living a life of sacrificial service means embracing the death of Jesus in our own lives, so that His life can be manifested in us.

Beloved of God, as you walk with God today, ask Him to reveal to you, areas where you need to surrender more to His will. Pray for the courage to live a life of sacrificial service, even when it is difficult or unpopular. Remember that it is not about your strength or abilities, but about the surpassing power of God working through you. May you receive strength to surrender all in Jesus’ name, Amen.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, the road to heaven may not be easy while walking with you, but take me by the hand and let us walk together in Jesus’ name, Amen.
