MAY 07 “THE POWER OF GOD’S LOVE – HEALING”

During the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, one of the ways he showed love was to heal the sick and deliver the oppressed. (Acts 10:38) There are those to whom Jesus went the extra mile to heal and to help without their cry for help or their coming to Jesus. Jesus embodied and exemplified the Love of God towards the needy, the helpless and the hopeless.

As seen in the passage for today, the healing of the man who had waited thirty-eight years to get help took place, based on the outgoing and intentional love of Jesus. If God were to consider the faith of the sick man to receive his healing, he was faithless in Jesus. If one is to consider his prayer for healing, he did not pray or call on Jesus. If his knowledge or relationship with Jesus was anything to be considered, he did not know Jesus; yet, Jesus was unrelenting in demonstrating his love to make him carry his mat and rise up healed on that day.

God’s love qualifies the Unqualified and helps the Helpless. His love can break protocols of men to come through for anyone. Jesus broke human protocols of Sabbath to heal this man. He is still doing same today. May you experience the power of his love reaching out to help you at your utmost point of need.

The love of God is unlimited and unrestricted. It can reach out to the remotest of places and bring out from the depth of hopelessness. Never give up on God, because His love never gives up on you. Go into this day believing in the power of His love to do for you what you cannot do for yourself.

PRAYER: Thank you for the unrelenting power of your Love that breaks the protocols of men. Today, let me experience the power of your love breaking protocols for me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
