Topic: Redemption’s Dawn
Text: 2 Peter 1: 16-21
Memory Verse: “2 Peter 1:17 – “He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
When we were very young and there was an exciting event the next day, there was always this great expectation of having to wait so long for the first light of dawn. This is what the promise of redemption may have looked like at first. Jesus, our Morning Star ushers a new beginning, a fresh start from the bondage of sin. His redemptive work brings light to our hearts, disconnecting us from the darkness of despair.
Today’s text invites us to embrace the beauty of the day dawning and the morning star rising in our hearts, as God Himself announces the fulfilment of His redemption promise. This Morning Star represents Jesus the Light of the World, whose presence in our lives ushers in a new day of hope, understanding, and redemption. Jesus, the morning star rises within us, transforming our hearts and minds, guiding us to the fullness of His truth and love. In Him, we find the true light that removes all darkness, guiding our steps towards eternal dawn.
As your day progresses, be delighted in this redemption dawn and glow in His love. Remind yourself of His constant presence, the light that never fades, ushering you into a day filled with hope and renewal.
Prayer: Lord, help me appreciate the reason for my salvation, that I may live the kind of life you want of me and fulfil your purpose for my life, AMEN.
