Topic: “GOD’S THOUGHTS, OUR PROSPERITY: STAY WITH GOD (2).“
Text: Isaiah 55:1-7
Memory Verse: “You also will command nations you do not know, and peoples unknown to you will come running to obey, because I, the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, have made you glorious” Isaiah 55:5
According to, Annie Johnson Flint, the Author of the Hymn, “He giveth more grace”:
“When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half-done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men, for out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth and giveth and giveth again.”
God has you covered. Why settle for less by seeking to satisfy your needs outside of the fullness of God and His provisions for you? The Love of God calls us to exchange our feeble efforts for total dependence on God. “Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food” (v.2). “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life” (v.3).
He gives us more than food, He gives life. He extends the invitation to a covenant that unleashes glory and prosperity beyond anything we can imagine. When you stay with God, you will command nations and He will make you glorious. There is so much more in Him.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord for your wonderful provisions for me in Christ. I choose to stay with you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
