SEPTEMBER 02: Experiencing the fullness of God through Continuous Prayers

The fullness of God said E.M. Bounds, “thrives in the atmosphere of prayer.” Prayer plays a very important role in helping us to sustain the fullness of God, which was bestowed on us by grace. We must continue to remind ourselves that the fullness of God that we have was not by human efforts but was a product of God’s grace and love. This fullness is the manifestation of grace and truth as said by John in John 1:16 that “and of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”
Paul in our text today, said since he knew about the fullness of God that was deposited upon the Ephesian believers, he had not stopped giving thanks and praying for them. Why was he praying? Because there are, forces that want to destroy the fullness of God in the lives of the believers. Looking at the lives of Adam and Eve, the fullness of God was taken away immediately after they ate the forbidden fruit. As believers, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve the fullness of God in our lives through the consistent prayer of consecration to God. As we step out today, remember that life is short, pray hard.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, the enemy is roaming around to devour, so I submit myself to you in prayer, surround me, strengthen me and help me stay under the shadow of your wings.
