Topic: “BOLDNESS PART 1“
Text: Hebrews 4:16,
Memory Verse: “Let us therefore come Boldly unto the throne of grace, that we obtain mercy, and find grace in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Effective prayer involves boldness. We come before God’s throne with boldness. Boldness brings much needed victory, deliverance from age long oppression. Boldness means adding courage to the norm.
Where do we get boldness? In fellowship, in Christ. Eph 3:12 tells us “in whom we have boldness and access confidence by the faith of him”. There many things you do not need to pray for – but it is all right to pray for boldness. You should, in fact.
Acts 4: 29,30 – Peter and John were bold when they used the Name of Jesus to minister to the lame man at the gate. They were bold when they proclaimed the Name of Jesus. Their prayer was answered in Acts 4:31. The church rose above threats from the people in government to preach the gospel and minister to the needs of the people
Boldness to Act : On a particular day, a man known for intercession, was praying for someone, he did not know the person. After agonizing in the Spirit, he was bidden of the Spirit to go a bridge on top of a flowing river. He drove down to the bridge without delay. As he arrived, in the middle of the bridge the Holy Spirit pointed out a man with one leg over the railing ready to jump to his death. The intercessor stopped the car and grabbed the man. He persuaded the man to get into the car. He witnessed to the man, after about 2 hours, the man finally gave his life to Christ.
PRAYER: Ask God for understanding – We are the body of Christ. That means the body can go into the Presence of God the Father with the same confidence and assurance that Jesus, our Head can! Boldly
