SEPTEMBER 11: “YOUR STORY ENDS IN VICTORY”

DATE: Friday 11  September  2026

TOPIC:  “YOUR STORY ENDS IN VICTORY”

TEXT: Hebrews 4:14-16

MEMORY VERSE:  “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” – Hebrews 4:16 NIV.

Let me share a story and advice that changed my life.

There was a time I struggled with pornography and masturbation—something I once believed I would never fall into and always bragged about not falling into. However, I did and became trapped in that cycle. I prayed constantly, asking God for help. Each time, He told me to open up to a particular person in church.

Yet, I hesitated. I felt ashamed. For weeks, I delayed, even though I knew what God was asking me to do. Eventually, I obeyed.

When I finally spoke to that person, he told me something that shocked me. He said God had revealed to him a year earlier that I would come to him about this exact issue. The intentionality of my God!! Even before I fell, God had already made provision.

Then he gave me words I will never forget: “This battle may be hard, but your story ends in victory. No matter how many times you fall, the final outcome is not defeat—it is victory, and that victory is sealed in Christ Jesus.”

Did it stop immediately? No. I fell many times. Nevertheless, those words kept lifting me up. Even in failure, I held on to the truth that my story could not end in defeat.

God loves you deeply; before you were born, Christ had already made provision for your victory (John 3:16)

Whatever your struggle is—lust, pain, un-forgiveness, peer pressure – some have drowned in drugs, some have been raped and abused not by their own choice, or if you have wounds from things done to you; there is still victory in Christ Jesus.

Choose to find that victory today.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for giving me victory over sin through Christ Jesus. Help me to daily work out my salvation in fear and trembling, Amen.
