FEBRUARY 5: HOPE RESTORED IN HIS PRESENCE

Sometime ago, I was frustrated and confused due to some life and ministry challenges. Consequently, I became depressed and hopeless. One day, I summoned courage to go for “alone with God” to a place far away from home. While I was there, I encountered God afresh, my zeal and passion for Him were renewed and I was completely restored.

The Psalmist in today’s passage saw the renewal of faith and restoration of hope in the Temple. A proper understanding came to him about the destiny of the wicked whom he thought were progressing at the expense of the righteous. He discovered that the end of the wicked is destruction and calamity. David received joy, hope and peace of mind as he dwelled in the presence of God. Many people are nursing different ailment sin their bodies today as a result of not dwelling in the presence of God. It is only in the presence of God that a man can receive “first class” information concerning whatever he is passing through.

Beloved, there are many things to enjoy in the presence of God such as fullness of joy, renewal of strength, a deepened relationship with Him, ability to gain insight to His mind and program for one’s life, revelations about one’s life or things imminent. Also, to secure divine counsel and directions for one’s life. What are your confusions and frustrations? If you will desire the presence of God above mere human wisdom and calculations, you will see God in action in your life.

He will address your challenges and restore your hope. All your confusions and fears will become things of the past. How is your relationship with God When last did you
genuinely seek God’s presence? Are there issues that are hindering you from accessing God? Come to Him now with genuine repentance and ask for forgiveness and He will definitely help you.

Prayer: My Lord and my God, help me to be a lover and dweller of your presence in Jesus name. Amen
