Topic: “GOD’S THOUGHTS, OUR PROSPERITY: A DISPLAY OF HIS SPLENDOUR“
Text: Isaiah 49:1-4
Memory Verse: “He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor” Isaiah 49:3.
“To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing” (Isa.40:25-26).
This is just a peep into the splendour of our God. Indeed, to whom can we compare the One who by His word created the Heavens and the Earth, the beauty of the skies, the glory of the sunset and all the hidden treasures of darkness.
This God thought of you and made the decision to display the fullness of His splendour in you and through you to the Nations. He thought of man from the garden of Eden, He wanted man and not the animals to be a partaker of His divine nature, so He filled us with His breadth, the deposit and guarantee of our prosperity in Christ. True prosperity is not measured by material wealth and the metrics of the world, but rather by a life that fully reflects the beauty and glory of the Lord.
Be encouraged today, that you have not laboured in vain; you have not spent your strength for nothing, because what is due you is in the Lord’s hand, and your reward is with God. (vv.4). You are destined to prosper for His glory.
PRAYER: O Lord, I am in awe of your Majesty and glorious power. Be thou exalted forever in Jesus’ name, Amen.
