Topic: “GOD’S THOUGHTS: OUR PROSPERITY – GOD’S SECRET FOR PROSPERITY (2)“
Text: Rom 12:3-10
Memory Verse: “There is one who scatters yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty” Prov.11:24.
We continue another day to reflect on one of God’s secret tools for our prosperity and eternal relevance. This tool is – Giving, which is a gift of the Spirit and stewardship of the resources of God in our lives. It is a great trust for God, our Master to entrust us with His resources so that we can ensure that everyone in the house, as He has enabled, gets what they need in the measure required and at the right time.
God is so much interested not only in the act of giving itself, but in our complete obedience to Him by how and when we give. Our giving life is a good measurement for our relationship with God, a test of our understanding of His purpose and an indicator of our level of trust in His provision and submission to His Lordship. More importantly, it is also the barometer of our Love for God and His children, our brethren.
It is a privilege for God to choose you as the conduit and channel for His blessings. It is therefore important, that we pause and consider how well we have discharged this responsibility. “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward (Matt.24:45-46).
PRAYER: O Lord, help me to fulfil the eternal purpose for the blessings that I have received from you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
