Topic: “FINDING PEACE IN GOD’S PRESENCE“
Text: Matthew 11:25-30
Memory Verse: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3.
In the original state of Man, God had provided all that was needed for his well being, in fact, he was given a full package which he enjoyed for a while until the devil made him doubt the word of God his maker and he progressively sinned against God.
The above led to the separation between Man and God, it was actually man who ran away from God, accordingly, he lost the total package God gave him, which included peace (Gen.3:7-8).
Peace is something man and even science does not have an answer for, leaving us with no option than to go back to the source, which is God. When life’s storms rage, finding peace can seem impossible. Yet, in God’s presence, we discover a haven of calm. As we focus on Him, our worries fade, and His peace envelops us.
In order to enjoy peace in line with God’s plan for us, we need to seek Him in prayer and worship (psalm 16:11). We also need to fully trust Him and believe that He is working all things for our good. (Romans 8:28).
PRAYER: Lord, lead me to Your presence, where peace abounds. Calm my anxious thoughts and fill me with Your love. Help me trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, Amen.
