Topic: “GOD’S THOUGHTS” GIVE HOPE AND RENEW STRENGTH“
Text: Lamentations 3:21-24
Memory Verse: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint”- Isaiah 40:31.
Hope in God brings renewed strength and endurance. God has intentionally loving thoughts about our lives. His thoughts give us direction, identity and hope. Even in seasons of waiting or pain, God’s plan is still active. God’s thoughts about us give us hope. Jeremiah 29:11 says God’s thoughts are of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope. No matter the present trial, His plan is always to prosper us materially, spiritually and eternally.
The hope we have in God’s thoughts takes away anxiety. He is able to change all circumstances for us at His own time. Because God is always thinking of you, He will help you to walk in the confidence that will make your life to have purpose through Him. Our bible passage for today is saying that even in suffering, God’s unchanging mercy is our reason for hope. Hope in God brings stability to our emotions and a reason to keep praising Him. Psalm 42:11 says “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again – my Saviour and my God”.
In Matthew 11:28 – 30, Jesus is saying “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”. We have hope that God will take away our heavy burdens and make life easy for us. Even when life sometimes feels uncertain, God’s thoughts towards us never waver. His plans are filled with purpose and hope. When we do not understand our circumstances, we can rest, knowing God’s thoughts are working out a hopeful future for us.
Our hope is not based on what we see, but on the unchanging promises of God. He cannot fail, and His plans cannot be thwarted. This truth strengthens us in trials and keeps us steady in faith.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your thoughts towards me are good and full of hope. Help me to trust Your plans even when I cannot see the way forward, I choose to anchor my heart in Your promises today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
