Topic: The Benefits of the Fullness of God: You are Limitless
Text: Ephesian 1: 15-18 Message translation
Memory Verse: Ephesian 1: 18-19 “… oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!”
In this world, limitations confront us daily. Physical limitations, spiritual limitations, educational limitations, financial limitations, the list is endless. The word that describes the God that you and I serve is that He is the unlimited one. His family is unlimited, He is unlimited in His kingdom and unlimited in His resources.
Paul in today’s text point us to another benefit of the fullness of Christ, and that is that we are limitless. He said “… oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!” In Christ, we become filled with limitless energy and boundless strength. In other words, we cannot run out of the resources that we need to make it in life.
To be unlimited is to be free of all bondages and encumbrances, that is why Paul said in Romans 8: 1-2 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” In Christ Jesus, there is no more condemnation or anything that can hold us back from fulfilling the purpose of God for our lives.
As you step out today, the devil may remind you of your limitations, or suggest to you that you cannot attain any level of height in life. You will have to remind him of what Bill Graham said that in Christ “We are totally accepted in Christ! It’s not necessarily a feeling; it’s a fact. It is primarily believed, not felt.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we appreciate you for giving your all for us. In you, we have become limitless with grace and mercy. Help us never to live less than who we are, help us to attain the fullness of who you have made us in Jesus’ name.
