SEPTEMBER 15: “SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT AS A VEHICLE TO SIN”

DATE: Tuesday 15  September  2026

TOPIC:  “SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT AS A VEHICLE TO SIN”

TEXT: Ephesians 2:1-5, Romans 12:2, Revelation 18:4

MEMORY VERSE:  “Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “ ‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues” – Revelation 18:4 NIV.

Someone may ask: How do you forgive in a world that consistently hurts you? How do you let go when you are reminded daily of your pain—when wounds you are trying to heal keep reopening?

Many people, not by their own choices, have been forced into difficult decisions just to survive. I interact with a lot of people daily—some stuck in sin and unremorseful, others filled with guilt and trying to break free. One thing I have noticed is that this struggle is often deeply connected to their environment—their home, their community.

Some environments are designed, knowingly or unknowingly, to break innocence.

I have seen people rise out of the worst situations and I have seen others drown in them because they know nothing else. All I can say is that, it is the Spirit of the Lord that saves.

Many have been raped, abused, exposed to drugs, and introduced to all kinds of perversion at a very young age. Demonic systems that trap them early and leave lasting wounds—marks of brokenness that follow them for years.

Some of us had it easier. Some of us even chose environments that others are desperately trying to escape. We often speak about those who willingly sit with mockers and scorners, but some people were born into those circles.

This is heavy on my heart because I see the pain in people’s stories every day.

Please, I urge you—especially believers—do not become a source of someone else’s pain. Do not traumatise your children by the way you treat your spouse. Broken homes often produce broken children and many of them run from God, seeking comfort in harmful places.

If your child cannot see God in you, where else will they see Him?

To those who knowingly remain in harmful environments—you are encouraging systems that continue to damage lives. Dwelling in such company corrupts your very self (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Break away from it today.

Selah… (Pause. Reflect.)

PRAYER: Ask God to help you be a light in this dark world. Ask God to make a way out of every dark situation and circumstance you find yourself trapped in. Ask God to heal every broken heart. Pray for a child today.
