Topic: “Showcasing the power of God to dominate”
Text: Gen 1:28
Memory Verse: 1 John 4:4 – “You are of God, little children and have overcome them because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world”.
Authority means the power to give orders or make decisions. It is the power or right to direct or control someone or something. Power is conferred by virtue of a person’s position or it could be through legal verdict. God has conferred on his creation, the human beings he created in his image to have dominion over all the other created things.
You and I have the blessings of God over us and we should dominate all that our God created for our well-being. God has commanded that we should be fruitful and multiply, is there any area of life that you are not fruitful. Today, apply the promise in this verse to activate it.
Are you exercising the authority God gave you over all created things? None of God’s creation should be a source of trouble for you and because we have dominion over it; whether it is the weather, the elements, or even living creatures. Psalm 91:5-6 referred to challenges that are associated with the day or night, such as terror by night, arrow that flies by day, pestilence that walks in darkness, destruction that lays waste at noonday.
The power to overcome all these elements rests in our authority as God’s children. Our memory verse says greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Confess the word of God over your life today and enjoy the benefit of Gods blessings.
PRAYER: Today, I declare that I am fruitful in all areas of my life. I speak to all the elements created by God to cooperate with God’s word over my life. No pestilence, no terror, no arrow nor destruction shall be my portion in Jesus name, Amen.
